About Us

This adventure started nearly three years ago with a group of people who wanted to make a difference in the community, a group who like to ride, and who wanted to get Dickinson county on the literal map. In March of 2015 Mud Buggers was born. Our group did a lot of riding and ride after ride, nights of working on each other’s rigs, and always planning and talking about the poor state of trails is Dickinson County, we knew that something had to be done. We needed a home. We weighed out our options and decided to stay close to home; we joined the ranks of the local snowmobile club and started to pursue a dual purpose club.We needed to learn the ways of running a club. There were a lot of growing pains but we learned a lot along the way. During the couple of years we were part of the snowmobile club we began to realize that if we were going to make the difference we wanted we needed to branch off, buckle down and become a stand alone club. We had to do more research and we reached out to other ATV focused clubs and we found quite a few that welcomed us because we shared a vision of maintaining trails, expanding trail systems and creating new ones. We started to join clubs, going on rides and attending meetings outside of our county. We helped out other clubs with trail maintenance and learning the ropes. As of October 2017 a group of 9 of us took the initiative and filed with the State of Michigan and we became this group. Every month since we've made more and more progress; we have trail proposals submitted, maintenance planned, and we've sponsored a couple of trail systems that will be getting some much needed attention......Stay tuned there's more to come!
